Karel Kovařovic and his Piano Concerto in F minor at the National Theatre

On Sunday 23 October 2022, a concert will be held in honour of exceptional figures of Czech music who have fundamentally contributed to the formation of the National Theatre's opera House, both as its artistic directors and as composers. The programme will include the unjustly forgotten Piano Concerto in F minor Op. 6 by Karel Kovařovic performed by Marek Kozák. The Concours Géza Anda

Marek Kozák was awarded third prize in the renowned International Piano Competition Concours Géza Anda. The triennial Concours is considered one of the most prestigious and demanding piano competitions. Vítězslava Kaprálová – Piano concerto in d minor

Marek Kozák makes his first appearance with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Robert Jindra on Monday, the 17th of February 2020 in the Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum. Together they will perform the seldom heard Piano Concerto in d minor of Vitězslava Kaprálová. Classic Prague Awards 2019

As part of the Classic Prague Awards, Marek Kozák was named Talent of the Year 2019. The presentation ceremony was held in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague on Saturday, the 18th of January 2020. Piano recital cycle "Hybalatele rezonace"

On Monday, the 30th of September, Marek Kozak will initiate the piano recital cycle "Hybalatele rezonace" at the Convent of St. Agnes. Busoni piano competition in Bolzano

The prestigious Busoni piano competition in Bolzano brought together more than 400 pianists from all over the world. Marek was one of 27 who advanced to the final competition, which will be held in August, 2019.

Opening of the famous Chopin festival in Valdemossa

Marek Kozak opened the famous Chopin festival in Valdemossa by playing a program of Chopin's works. During the long history of the festival, many legendary pianists, such as Alfred Cortot, Arthur Rubenstein and Garick Ohlsson, have given recitals here.

Debut at the Prague Spring Festival

Marek Kozák will perform at the Prague Spring International Music Festival for the first time on May 30, 2018. He will play Pavel Bořkovec´s Piano Concerto No. 2 as a soloist to the accompaniment of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic, conducted by Chuheie Iwasaki. For more information click HERE.

Winner of the European Piano Competition in Bremen
